We have 9 chickens and 1 rooster (Floyd!). The chickens came to us from a n ordinance seizure because the owners had too many. All Species Kinship (ASK) reached out about taking them, so we did! Our rooster, Floyd, was an owner surrender. The previous owner tried to rescue Floyd after he was dumped in their yeard but had challenges having a rooster in the city

Our ducks were an impromptu rescue from when we picked up our horse, Joe! The previous owner had a lot of ducks and was happy to give some a new home. Our ducks were hatched by a chicken!

Our other turkey, Juan Carlos, came to MMFS as a surrender because he was not getting along well with his mate at his previous owner's residence. He's been getting along fine with the ducks and peacocks at the sanctuary. Juan Carlos has a beautiful, shiny black coat. he is an exotic Spanish breed. He is about 2 years old.
