Boulder

Boulder was the very first Misfit. And the very reason there is a Mitten Misfits Farm Sanctuary today. Unfortunately, Boulder passed away when he was about 35 years old. Normally, donkeys can live up to 50 years, but Boulder wasn't that lucky. He did however live at the farm with other Misfits for 25 years. 

Boulder was a donkey with personality, who would not hesitate with letting you know when he was hungry or needed entertainment - his braying could be heard from miles away. When Zoey moved to the farm, her and Boulder became lifelong companions. Losing them both within the same week was tough, but nonetheless fitting for their loving and codependent relationship.  

Since Boulder passed, life at MMFS hasn't been the same. He will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
