FREMONT

Fremont arrived to MMFS in November 2022 after being pardoned by Michigan's Governor Gretchen Whitmer! Bob and Vick picked up Fremont from Otto's Turkey Farm in Middleville, MI after a community member called and asked if MMFS would save a turkey in an effort to teach compassion to her children. We couldn't say no and took it even further by asking Governor Whitmer if she wanted to pardon Fremont for Thanksiving. Governor Whitmer loved the idea and asked Vick and Bob to bring Fremont to the governor's mansion! He was only 16 weeks old at the time.

Fremont had a grand time at the governor's mansion then moved in at the sanctuary. He is a sweet turkey that loves people. He will follow people around and loves to be pet on his head! He truly is a special turkey.
