Please reach us at mittenmisfits@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Under our Volunteer tab, you'll find a volunteer application! There are many volunteer needs at the farm. In addition to regular farm chores, we always appreciate help with projects involving yard work, landscaping, errands, media, fundraising, event planning, animal training and experts, and more. If these opportunities interest you but you are not quite ready to volunteer on a regular basis, please contact us.
Visit our donations page for more ways you can help. There is almost always a need for something, especially when caring for senior animals! If you have food or items you'd like to donate to help our misfits, please contact us directly.
Thank you for reaching out to us. You can call us at 517-281-0511 or email us at mittenmisfits@gmail.com. If you choose to email us, please be clear in your subject line what you are reaching out about (e.g., volunteer interest, donation, visit request, animal training, etc.). This will help us get back to you sooner.
Please note that due to lots of moving parts on the farm, it sometimes takes us longer to respond than we'd like. We hope that this FAQ page will answer most of your questions! But if it doesn't, we appreciate your patience.
We love all of the inquiries to visit and all of the possibilities that we may be able to do with youth organizations, companies, teams, and other visitors! We are growing and evolving but hope to soon schedule one day per month for visitors. Please revisit this page and our social media for updates. Otherwise, you can simply contact us to schedule a visit.
If you are interested in placing your animal on the waiting list, you may email us at mittenmisfits@gmail.com. In the subject line, please write "WAIT LIST REQUEST." In your email, please include how old the animal is, the type of animal, any medical issues, and any other details you can give. Please note that this is only a request and does not guarantee placement. Each request is reviewed by our Board and in the order in which the request came in.
Our dream is to build a second barn and accommodate more animals in the future. If you are interested in supporting our cause, please visit our Donate page.
